The Bull, Bracknell High St: Pub

“The pub has recently been ‘done up’, but this is Bracknell so it’s no frills. Being Bracknell this find is all the more amazing. The chips are hand cut, thick and have a good golden crust and plenty of potato inside. The Bull Burger (£9) goes very well with them.” - Ben

Sanders, Reading: Chip Shop

“Proper Chip Shop Chips that taste just how chips should taste. Not too crispy, not too soggy, just right.” - Lisa Kitchen

Hinds Head, Bray: Gastropub

“Heston Blumenthal serves triple cooked chips in his little pub, next to the Fat Duck, and they are to die for. they are proper fat ‘English’ chips that are crispy on the outside and soft inside, steaming hot and irrestible. Worth going just for the chips and we do.” - Graham Peart
